The Role They are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Receptionist to work Monday to Friday 8.30am to 3pm, term time only (39 weeks a year), in their supportive, friendly school office. The office is a really busy place and they are seeking a multi tasker who can greet all their visitors with a smile, answer the phone all alongside juggling various administrative tasks. If you are seeking a challenge, it is a great and fun place to work where no two days are ever the same Key Responsibilities To be the first point of contact to the school for any visitors either in person or on the phone as well as providing some routine day to day clerical and administrative support as a member of the school’s office support team, as directed and under the supervision of the line manager in the following areas: Dealing with all enquiries to the entrance window. To be the primary person dealing with the main switchboard. Collection and dispersal of incoming and outgoing mail. Managing Inventry – door entry system Managing lunch numbers and ensuring the twice daily registers are completed on time Regular maintenance and systematic organisation of office filing systems, retaining documents, correspondence and other records. General office duties including diary maintenance, safe and secure storage of supplies and word processing. Note taking, providing refreshments for visitors and organising the catering for training and parent events. Maintain the policy review schedule and prompt reviewers when policies are due for review. To attend parents evening, sign parents in and provide refreshments (this requires working late once a term). To support the Senior Administrative Assistant with EHCP reviews admin and Inclusion Officer meetings. To support the Headteacher and Business Manager as and when required with secretarial support. Any other duties as requested.
