Sports Coach – SEMH School in Chorley (Starting May) Are you passionate about using sports and physical activity to engage young people? Do you have experience working with children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Teaching Personnel is seeking a Sports Coach to join an SEMH school in Chorley, starting in May. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity, ideal for a sports graduate looking to make a difference in education. The Role: Deliver structured sports sessions to engage students in physical activity Support students with SEMH needs, helping them build confidence, teamwork, and resilience Assist in PE lessons, interventions, and extracurricular activities Work closely with teaching staff to promote positive behaviour through sports Adapt activities to meet individual needs, ensuring an inclusive and supportive environment What We’re Looking For: Sports graduates or individuals with relevant coaching experience Experience working with children, ideally in an SEMH, SEN, or alternative provision setting Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships A passion for using sport to support students' personal and emotional development A valid DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one This role is an excellent opportunity for graduates looking to gain experience in education or professionals looking to transition into a school-based setting.
