About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our dynamic quality control team. This flexible inspection role ensures each piece meets the highest standards at every stage of production, from casting to dispatch.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of fine jewellery manufacturing techniques and experience in a quality-focused inspection role. They will also demonstrate the ability to work methodically, make quick, accurate decisions and communicate those outcomes clearly, ensuring all products meet quality standards before being released. Full training is available for a passionate individual who exhibits initiative, ambition, and attention to detail.
Role Responsibilities
Overview
1. A fully flexible quality inspection role covering cast, plain mounts, fully set product and wedding bands. Whilst you may focus on one particular product type on any given day, competency in all areas is required so that resources can be flexed at short notice to meet variable workloads and lead-time demands across the full product range.
2. Inspect all quality aspects of manufacture, ensuring product fully complies with pattern details, customer specific requirements and documented quality standards.
3. Deal efficiently with repairs where appropriate, taking follow up action as needed to inform internal customers and meet lead-time agreements.
4. Accurately update ERP system with weight and QC outcome information
5. Submit and process hallmarking requirements in line with customer and legislative requirements

Qualifications and Education
15. IT astute with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and ERP systems, working to a high standard with a focus on continuous improvement.
16. Diamond grading and gemstone qualifications (advantageous but not essential).
Highly Desirable
17. Production or manufacturing experience.
18. Knowledge of the jewellery trade, manufacturing processes, and related operations.

Salary
20. Negotiable/dependent on experience
Working Hours
21. 37.5 hours per week, 07:30 am 15:30 pm. Please be aware that this role is based on site in Birmingham.
