Optimus is a FEED and concept design specialist, but also undertakes detail brownfield and greenfield engineering scopes through to fabrication.
This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in diverse and interesting scopes within the following industries: offshore oil and gas, petrochemical, refining, chemical, carbon capture and renewables.
Key Duties:
* Identify the scope of work required
* Input to project plans and schedules
* Identify areas of concern during any project or study
* Produce cost-effective engineering solutions that are fit for purpose, safe and add value to address operational and maintenance issues in the design and liaise with colleagues for the best solution
* Undertake Surveys, both onshore and offshore (preferably)
* Supervise the time of others

About You
The candidate shall have good attention to detail, be a proficient checker, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to discuss and articulate scopes clearly and confidently. Candidates should have a track record of managing the effective delivery of piping discipline scopes.
The ideal engineering candidate should have 15+ years engineering experience in Brownfield offshore and onshore Piping discipline activities.
* Good working knowledge of relevant piping codes and standards
* Proficient in layout, flexibility review and supporting of pipework. Greenfield engineering and construction experience would be advantageous
* Comfortable interfacing with clients, vendors and suppliers with good written and verbal communication
Experienced also required:
* Concept, FEED and detail design scopes
* Partaking in design and constructability reviews
* Progress and productivity reporting
* Input to workpacks
* Modifying and writing new specifications and classes
* Production of piping datasheets, MTO's and requisitions
* Procurement and vendor management
* Interpreting stress analysis output and interfacing with the stress team
* Site survey and report writing
* Navisworks, AutoCAD 3D / Plant 3D knowledge will be useful
* MS Office
A current offshore survival and medical is preferred. Candidates may be required to occasionally visit on or offshore sites for survey purposes, however not for extended periods.
