Position: SEND Teaching Assistant

About the Role:
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will be working alongside a dedicated team of professionals to support students with a range of needs, including SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health), ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition), SLD (Severe Learning Disabilities), and other complex needs. You will help provide tailored support in the classroom, foster an inclusive environment, and ensure that every student has the opportunity to succeed.

* Adaptability: A proactive approach to adjusting learning methods to fit the individual needs of each student.
* Team Player: Ability to work well within a team of teachers and specialists, contributing positively to the school’s supportive environment.
* Experience in SEND (Preferred but not essential): Prior experience in a care, educational, or support role is beneficial, but we offer full training for the right candidate.
* Commitment to Inclusion: A genuine passion for ensuring all students, regardless of their challenges, can reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with classroom management and support students on a 1:1 or small group basis.
* Support the development of social, emotional, and academic skills.
* Help implement individualized learning plans and tailored strategies for students.
* Provide support during lessons, ensuring students can access the curriculum.
* Assist with personal care and mobility where needed.
* Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their independence and well-being.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
