This is an exciting opportunity for two nurses to join the Acute Research Delivery Team (ARDT) as Research Nurses at Salford Care Organisation.
You will be delivering clinical trials across the Trauma and Emergency Care and Critical Care Portfolio's and therefore evidence of proven experience within one of these areas is desirable.
The ARDT works a 5 day extended hours service. This post is for three years, on a fixed term position for one qualified nurse.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Screening and recruiting eligible participants
2. Educating participants about the study and obtaining informed consent
3. Collecting and recording study data accurately, in accordance with GCP
4. Administering interventions and treatments as per the study protocol
5. Monitoring participants' safety and reporting adverse events
6. Ensuring that study documentation is maintained and stored securely
To be successful in this role, you need to have strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills, be organised and detail orientated. It is desirable to have prior experience in a clinical research setting, but it is not essential.
This will be a rewarding post adding value to the working practices of our team of researchers, and will benefit and allow development of someone who aspires to work in research within the NHS.

Person Specification:
NMC Registered Nurse
Essential:
* Diploma/Degree or equivalent qualification in Nursing.
* Current NMC registration OR HCPC registered OR NIHR CRP accredited (or working towards).
Desirable:
* Holds current certificates in ICH/GCP and Research Governance or working towards.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Essential:
* Able to deliver a high standard of evidence-based individual patient care in line with Trust/regulatory agency policies and protocols.
* Effective communicator with good leadership and interpersonal skills.
* Evidence of professional and clinical expertise acquired through CPD and experience.
* Evidence of involvement and leadership in teaching and mentoring learners.
* Evidence of experience at self-management within a given area.
* Evidence of ability to work across a number of projects and to maintain documentation to a high standard.
* Evidence of good computer literacy.
* Competency in basic nursing skills including venepuncture, cannulation, IV infusions, performing ECGs, etc.
* Proven experience of working within a Trauma and/or Emergency Care and/or Critical Care environment.
Desirable:
* Research experience or relevant clinical experience.
