British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS)
Do you enjoy working within a busy office or reception environment, where no two days are the same?
We are looking for an experienced Admin Assistant to come and join our Peterborough Unit on a part-time basis for 15 hours a week over 2 days on Tuesday and Wednesday.
You'll work as part of the team in carrying out administration tasks in an efficient and friendly manner ensuring that clients feel accepted, supported, and confident about BPAS services.
About You:
You will have proven experience of working within an office environment, where you've carried out administration duties. You will be an excellent communicator both internally and externally and will demonstrate a friendly and positive attitude when interacting with clients, colleagues, and external parties.
Main Duties of the Job
* Answer and direct telephone queries, liaising with both internal and external colleagues as necessary.
* Accurately check or complete BPAS and legal paperwork, ensuring all relevant documentation is available for the clients' episode of care.
* Monitor, edit and amend appointment lists using the BPAS booking system, informing clients if changes to their appointment become necessary.
* Assist in the monitoring, control, and ordering of stock, sort and distribute incoming mail, and prepare and dispatch statistical information and reports.
We are also looking for:
* Experience of dealing face-to-face with patients who may be upset within a care environment.
* Knowledge of clerical procedures including checking documentation, telephone, and reception duties.
* Good attention to detail, supportive towards colleagues and clients, and an effective team player.

Person Specification
Experience
* Administration experience gained within an office environment and general office duties.
* Experience with clerical procedures including the checking of documentation.
* Experience of telephone and reception procedures.
* Experience of dealing face-to-face with patients who may be angry or upset within a care environment.
Qualifications
* English and Maths qualification either GCSE A to C or Functional Skills Level 2 or GCSE 4* or NVQ level 2.
* Competent in Microsoft Office programmes including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams.
