An exceptional opportunity for a Commercial lawyer to join our client's large in-house team.
THE TEAM
This highly experienced team serves as the internal commercial legal function for the business, overseeing regulatory compliance internationally and managing the legal and commercial risks associated with its operations.
The team is divided into several sub-teams specialising in various areas of law although this particular role focuses on commercial contracts and business risk. The role also involves supporting the organisation’s international offices.
The team, along with the rest of the business, has embraced a flexible and agile working culture.
THE ROLE
You will be responsible for providing legal advice across all areas of the business on a wide range of commercial issues. This includes drafting, negotiating and advising on a variety of commercial contracts, staying ahead of new legislation and regulatory changes, and general market trends. You will play a key role in shaping strategies for the business, leading legal training, and handling some company secretarial duties as needed.
Occasionally, you will assist with data protection matters and actively contribute to developing the risk management culture within the business.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
To succeed in this role, you should have at least 2 years’ post-qualification experience in the UK and have extensive experience of drafting, negotiating and advising on commercial contracts and transactions, whether from private practice or an in-house setting.
Experience in dealing with risk and compliance matters is highly desired but not essential.
Candidates must have a keen eye for detail and excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels and internationally.
A flexible commercial mindset and a solutions-driven approach are a must.
