Responsibilities:
- Prepare and draft legal documents
- Organize and maintain legal files and documents
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and court hearings for solicitors
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions
- Assist our family, wills and probate, and conveyancing departments when required
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Manage calendars and deadlines
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a legal secretary or similar role
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Discretion in handling confidential information
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
