Qualifications/Training
Essential Criteria
* Qualified accountant - CCAB
* Degree Level Educated
* Evidence of continual professional development post qualification for at least 1 year.
Desirable Criteria
* IT Skills / suitable qualification in Microsoft Office suite, particularly use of Excel
Knowledge and Experience
Essential Criteria
* Previous senior experience of management accounting and finance business partnering.
* Budget control - development, managing and monitoring of annual budgets.
* Supporting the business planning process for a Division/Department.
* Monitoring, reporting and communication of financial position to various stakeholders.
* Delivering financial related training to budget holders.
* Advanced IT literate including experience of use and interrogation of general ledger systems and excel.
Desirable Criteria
* Working experience in an Acute NHS Trust.
* Experience of a large complex public organisation along with an understanding of the operational aspects of the organisation.
* Financial and capacity plan modelling.
Personal Attributes & Skills
Essential Criteria
* Able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff both verbally and in writing. This includes staff in other departments, such as budget holders, as well as colleagues within the department.
* Be innovative with strong fact finding and problem-solving skills.
* Analyse, interpret and report upon financial and non-financial information.
* Organise demanding workload with competing priorities to achieve deadlines.
