Dietetic Admin Assistant for Home Enteral Feeding Team

Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an admin assistant to join our support Home Enteral Feeding (HEF) Dietetic team based at Nether Edge outpatients. This team consists of five Dietitians, one Dietetic assistant practitioner, and an Apprentice Dietitian. You will provide vital administrative support for the dietitians, dietetic assistant practitioners, apprentice dietitian, and the dietetic management team, supporting a range of functions, including booking of home visits, dealing with telephone/email enquiries, producing and maintaining word and excel documents and databases, ordering stock of feeding tubes, and producing activity reports.
You will have support from a Specialist Dietitian within the HEF service and additional administration support from an office manager.
We are seeking an individual who will be proactive in delivering the admin support to the clinical team and will embrace the technology available. This post requires you to be an experienced, highly motivated, and organised administrator with excellent verbal and written communication skills. It is crucial that you are a good team player. You will possess excellent IT skills with the ability to work unsupervised to established deadlines.
Main duties of the job
JOB PURPOSE
* Under the direct supervision of the HEF Dietitians, facilitate the provision of optimal nutrition to patients who are home enterally fed in Sheffield.
* To be an effective team member and provide assistance to the staff in the Dietetic Service.
* To provide a comprehensive secretarial/administrative service to the HEF Team.

Education and Training
* Educated to GCSE level or equivalent qualifications or equivalent experience (A-C / 4-9 in English & Maths)
* NVQ in Administration Level II or equivalent qualifications or equivalent experience
* European Computer Driving Licence or equivalent qualifications or equivalent experience
* RSA Typing or OCR Word Processing Level II qualification or equivalent qualifications or equivalent experience
Experience
* Relevant experience in a clinical administrative role
* Good working knowledge of Windows based packages
* Good knowledge of email system
* Experience of utilisation of available technology and applying it in the workplace
* Experience of managing telephone enquiries in a supportive and professional manner
* Medical terminology
* Evidence of working with databases
* Use of clinical patient information systems such as Lorenzo, Systmone
* Development of standard operating procedures and their application in the workplace
