We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of IT - Europa to oversee and manage the technology infrastructure, systems, and strategy across our 11 hotels in Europe. This role is instrumental in driving operational excellence, enhancing guest experiences, and supporting the growth and digital transformation of our organization. Role Overview The Head of IT - Europa will be responsible for developing and implementing the company's IT strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and leading technology initiatives that support both existing operations and new hotel openings. This role requires a strong understanding of hospitality technology, including Property Management Systems (PMS), Point of Sale (POS) systems, cybersecurity, and cloud computing, along with experience in managing multi-location IT projects. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Develop and execute the IT strategy, ensuring it aligns with the company’s business objectives, operational needs, and brand standards. Drive technological innovation to enhance guest experiences, optimize operational efficiency, and support sustainability initiatives. Collaborate with senior management to ensure the IT strategy meets long-term organizational goals. IT Operations Management Oversee the maintenance, optimization, and security of IT systems, including PMS, POS, email, website, accounting systems, and communication networks. Ensure compliance with GDPR, PCI, and other local regulations, implementing robust cybersecurity measures across all properties. Maintain the wide area network (WAN), Wi-Fi, and communication systems to maximize uptime and mitigate security threats. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for IT service delivery and system performance. Project Management Lead IT planning, budgeting, and implementation for new hotel openings, ensuring seamless system integration and infrastructure readiness. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Finance, and Construction, to ensure successful project execution. Team Leadership Manage and oversee the outsourced IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Provide leadership in recruitment, training, and professional development for IT personnel. Vendor and Stakeholder Management Establish and maintain strong relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and consultants. Manage contracts and ensure service-level agreements (SLAs) are met. Act as the primary IT contact for internal and external stakeholders. Budget and Financial Management Prepare and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and value for money. Monitor and control IT expenditure across all properties. Provide regular financial and operational reports to senior management. Candidate Profile Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 8-10 years of experience in IT leadership roles, preferably within the hospitality industry. Proven expertise in PMS, POS, ERP, CRM systems, and API-based integrations. Experience in multi-location IT operations, cybersecurity, and cloud computing solutions. Strong background in managing system migrations, upgrades, and third-party integrations. Skills and Competencies Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver complex IT projects on time and within budget. Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management abilities. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Strong analytical and technical expertise in IT infrastructure and security. Fluency in English (additional European languages are an advantage).
