Our client, an esteemed criminal law firm in Birmingham is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a full-time Legal Cashier. If you thrive in a fast-paced setting, possess exceptional accounting skills, and have a solid understanding of legal procedures, we want to hear from you!
Requirements:
1. Minimum 1 Year Practical Experience in Accounts: We are seeking candidates with a strong background in accounting, ideally with at least one year of hands-on experience in a similar role. Your expertise in managing financial transactions and maintaining accurate records will be invaluable to our team.
2. Knowledge of SRA Rules: Familiarity with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) rules and regulations is highly desirable. Understanding compliance requirements within the legal industry will enable you to navigate complex financial matters with confidence and precision.
3. Purchase & Sales Ledger Experience, Along with Reconciliation: The ideal candidate will possess expertise in managing purchase and sales ledgers, as well as reconciliation processes. Your proficiency in these areas will ensure the smooth flow of financial transactions and contribute to the overall efficiency of our operations.
Additional Qualifications:
4. Proficiency in relevant accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.
5. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
6. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
7. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently when necessary.
8. A valid driver’s license and access to your own vehicle.
Responsibilities:
9. Processing and recording financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
10. Maintaining purchase and sales ledgers, including invoice processing and reconciliation.
11. Ensuring compliance with SRA rules and regulations in all financial activities.
12. Collaborating with legal and administrative teams to support day-to-day operations.
13. Assisting with financial reporting and audit preparation as needed.
