Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with a background in financial services to join a growing and dynamic team at our offices in Belfast. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial markets and products, and familiarity with back-end operations, particularly with Unidata type applications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough analysis of financial data and client needs to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to develop detailed business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories to support software development and system enhancements.
* Participate in the design and implementation of business processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
* Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial information. Provide accurate estimates working with the Development team, Infrastructure team and Technical Architect.
* Analyse and document business processes. Document workflows and results of business analysis and obtain sign-off from internal customer on the specifications.
* Provide the link between the customer, development team and any third-party regarding software functionality, throughout the development lifecycle.
* Design and execute the test scenarios and test scripts, working with the test team.
* Provide support during system implementations, user acceptance testing, and post-implementation reviews.
Key Skills:
* Good experience as a Business Analyst within financial services, with experience in working Unidata type applications.
* Bachelor’s degree in finance, Computer Science, business administration or related field .
* Strong analytical skills and ability to understand complex business processes and identify effective solutions.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with the development team.
* Experience of using a suite of Microsoft programs including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI, Azure, Visio, Project, and SharePoint
* Good experience of methodologies including Agile, Waterfall & SDLC (Systems / Software Development Life Cycle) with experience of end-to-end lifecycle of a project.
