We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to join our Engineering team, playing a key role in ensuring optimal performance of manufacturing equipment and processes. Key Responsibilities Ensure the uptime of CHRA and VSR equipment for both current and new manufacturing processes. Deliver engineering solutions to resolve daily production process downtime issues. Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness by enhancing equipment availability. Support New Product Introduction processes during 'off design tool' testing, ensuring alignment with APQP, PEP, and PPAP procedures. Drive continuous improvement using Six Sigma methodology to ensure manufacturing methods align with customer satisfaction standards. Maintain and improve internal Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality procedures to enhance working methods. Identify and implement improvement opportunities through root cause analysis, kaizen processes, and other problem-solving techniques. Facilitate and update Failure Mode and Effects Analysis and Control Plans. Manage procurement of final assembly equipment and tooling to meet UK PUWE Regulations. Manage capital for OPEX projects, including initial proposal, specification, budget requests, and budget control. About you Practical, hands-on approach to engineering. Strong support skills for both engineering and maintenance teams. Ability to manage pressure and deliver results in complex environments with conflicting goals. Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills. Continual improvement mindset. Experience & Qualifications Required Previous experience in manufacturing and product engineering. Relevant qualification in engineering. PLC, Pneumatics, and Electrical experience. Tooling and fixture design experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Working knowledge of modern logistics, warehousing, and assembly machining processes. Greenbelt certification. IOSH Managing Safety qualification or equivalent (e.g., 'Pilz' Managing Safety with a machinery safety qualification) preferred.
