Description:
We are the Programme and Contract Management team at the Environment Agency, creating a better place through excellence in project and programme management. Our strong, well-qualified teams manage flood risk and waterways projects throughout their lifecycle to deliver environmental improvements, sustainability and carbon reduction, adding value and resulting in a greater sense of shared ownership with local communities.
Communication skills and organisation are essential for this role. As an Administration Officer, you'll give our leadership team the support they need by efficiently and accurately carrying out tasks and activities. It's a valued role that will see you supporting a wide range of activities.
Day to day you will support up to three Managers from the leadership team. Activities will include organising and scheduling meetings, compiling meeting agendas and taking minutes and notes from meetings. You will compile slides packs and other information. You will help co-ordinate the diaries for the Managers, including travel arrangements and bookings. You will also manage the electronic information that goes into our Delivery Hub SharePoint.
This role provides a diverse range of work to help and support our Managers and others be ever-more effective in their roles. This role interacts with many different individuals and teams across the Environment Agency, so it's important that you're positive, enjoy helping colleagues and take pride in your work.
Minimum Requirements:
- GCSE standard qualifications are desirable.
- Confidence in MS Office.
- Experience in administration or project support is important, as is your interest in the work and talent for organisation and planning.
Typical qualifications and experience:
- Five GCSEs at Grade C or above or equivalent (including English Language or equivalent)
- NVQ Business Administration Level 2 (or suitable clerical experience)
- Administrative experience with a good knowledge of and experience in using Microsoft Office
- Good communication skills, both oral and written
