Working closely with the workshop controller, you will lead a team of technicians, overseeing the paint department operations from start to finish. Responsibilities: Lead and supervise a team of paint technicians, providing guidance and support throughout the repair process. Perform high-quality paint repairs, including color matching, blending, and finishing, to restore vehicles to factory specifications. Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, masking, and priming as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that equipment and tools are properly maintained and used safely. Communicate effectively with team members, management, and customers to ensure clear understanding of repair needs and expectations. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your team. About You You will have previous experience in automotive painting and refinishing, with the ability to positively lead a team Proficiency in color matching and mixing, using computerized paint mixing systems if applicable. Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship, with the ability to produce high-quality paint finishes. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve their best. Knowledge of automotive repair processes and industry best practices. Certification in ATA/NVQ highly desirable Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
