As a Production Planner you will be assisting in creating and communicating production plans from MRP. You will take responsibility to ensure strict adherence to production schedules, and inter-departmental liaison will also be key to this role.
Responsibilities of our Production Planner
Directing the required production plans and schedules in order to meet delivery and manufacturing requirements (within the agreed order lead times).
Analysing daily production reports and advise of anticipated output problems, such as OTIF shortages, equipment failures and possible order amendments/cancellations.
Expediting all operations that delay schedules and alter schedules, to meet unforeseen conditions.
Reviewing and maintaining MRP to establish capacity lead times and production volumes in conjunction with sales forecasts and customer orders.
To control planning activities, within your levels of responsibility, ensuring that the department's workload is undertaken in an integrated, productive and synchronised manner.
To maintain appropriately responsive stock levels; ones that meet the criteria set out in the Service Level Agreement.
Continuously asses your responsibilities; to identify opportunities to make improvements and to implement these when needed.
You will have:
A good level of education
Good communication skills
Ability to work towards tight deadline
Good computer skills, especially within Microsoft Office
Strong workload prioritisation skills
Excellent organisational skills
Whilst not essential, the following would be of benefit:
Experience in the use of SAP
Knowledge of MRP
Adaptability, able to adapt to an ever changing work environment and react positively to changing circumstances
