The role:
As a Process Engineer, you will help drive our goals by:
1. Independently lead and develop process engineering designs, including pressure relief systems, heat and mass balances, process specifications, P&IDs, and process safety design, in line with JM standards.
2. Review, check, and approve design and pressure relief calculations carried out by junior process engineers.
3. Support and document process hazard and technical risk assessments (e.g. Hazard Studies, LoPA, Area Classification), and ensure quality in associated reports.
4. Provide expert process engineering support for site infrastructure and development equipment, collaborate with internal teams, and deliver training and technical guidance across the organisation.
Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:
1. Degree in Chemical Engineering (or equivalent experience) and working towards Chartered Engineer status.
2. Proven experience in Process Engineering, including pilot-scale operations and working within multi-discipline teams.
3. Strong customer focus with the ability to meet customer needs while aligning with project and organisational goals.
4. Solid background in Process Safety, with active involvement in hazard assessments such as HAZOP, LoPA, and Area Classification.
