Job Responsibilities
1. Technical Leadership of projects made up of cross discipline engineers at varying levels of seniority.
2. Coordinate and provide technical input into Product Management Team against customer requirements.
3. Determine technical resource required for project execution.
4. Requirements capture.
5. Work with Spirent's Product Realisation Process, including all stages of the product lifecycle: Concept, Requirements capture, planning/estimation, detailed design, implementation, qualification, and end of life.
6. Liaising with all Design for Excellence leads throughout project duration to gather inputs and ensure actions completed.
7. Leading design review meetings (including gathering required inputs and completing documentation).
8. Completing design review documentation, ensuring Design for Excellence inputs are incorporated.
9. Determine validation and qualification requirements working closely with Product verification team.
10. Providing technical leadership to a cross functional team during the design and development of technical projects. Includes need to understand and account for requirements outside of normal discipline (e.g. HW and non-engineering teams).
11. Work with Programme Management Office (PMO) to provide technical updates on project progress, monitor risks and execute Project plans.
12. Make decisions around technical implementation of projects.
13. Work with PMO to manage resource contention.
14. Be an individual contributor within projects in areas of engineering discipline, e.g. Software, hardware, Systems.
15. Consider inputs from all areas of the business required for product launch (e.g. operations, Global Services, Supply chain, Commercial).
Job Requirements
Education and Experience
16. Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar discipline.
17. Demonstrable hands-on experience in working within a structured engineering environment that includes Requirements Analysis/Definition, Design/Implementation, Defect Tracking, and Testing.
18. Demonstrable experience of project technical leadership.
19. Demonstratable business acumen skills.
