BrannelSurgery is a friendly and well-regarded GP surgery based in St Stephen where we serve our 6200 patients.
We are looking for a Practice Nurse to join our team full time, although we are happy to consider part-time/job sharing. We do require a degree of flexibility to help with covering holidays as and when needed.
As a member of the Practice Nurse Team at Brannel, you will play a crucial role in providing high quality care to our patients. You must be someone who is friendly, patient-focused, calm, and well-organized, as well as someone who communicates well with people at all levels, provides compassionate care, and has attention to detail.
Main duties of the job
We are a SystmOne practice, so experience would be an advantage, but full training will be provided to the successful candidate.
In terms of your clinical capabilities, you should be someone who can confidently deal with the following patient needs:
1. Monitor Patient Vital Signs and record medical information accurately
2. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
3. Conduct patient assessments and provide appropriate care
4. Cytology
5. Baby Immunisations
6. Administer vaccines and medications as needed
7. Chronic Disease Management (Diabetes and/or Asthma)
8. Educate Patients on health management and lifestyle choices
9. Assisting with ordering & stock takes
10. Dealing with Samples
11. Assist in Minor Surgical Procedures
12. Any other duties commensurate with this role.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Nursing degree or equivalent UK NMC Registered nurse
* Experience in Diabetes and/or respiratory care
* Experience in Cervical cytology
* Experience in Child immunisations
* Experience of working in primary care and/or a GP practice
* Experience of working with a nursing team and of dealing with vulnerable patients
