Central Supervision is part of the MWM Supervision & Controls organization and performs specific delegated supervisory functions focused on meeting regulatory requirements and minimizing regulatory, financial and reputational risks. Coverage spans multiple functional areas including, but not limited to, New Account supervision, Trade and Client reviews, Complex Product supervision, Life Insurance & Annuity supervision, Electronic Communications, Social Media and Registered Principal Marketing Review, Investment Advisory Program (IAP) supervision, Specialized Supervision.
The Business Support Manager will assist the Head of Central Supervision in managing a variety of diverse support functions to drive the overall strategic vision of Central Supervision. This role will support executive and management routines, stakeholder and key partner management, project management for cross-functional and horizontal projects and key business processes.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Partner with business leaders and subject matter experts to execute business support process.
* Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders such as Technology, Finance, HR, Compliance, etc.
* Liaison with COO/business support manager team members and support partners to drive integration and field key operational questions related to deliverables and/or routines.
* Provide general business support including internal team routines, communications, reporting, ad-hoc analysis and presentation as well as high quality management reporting and presentation materials for senior leaders. Drive process owner accountability to understand, manage and improve processes.
* Help develop strong business cases for investment with quantifiable impact to the client experience, efficiency and risk.
* Lead business contingency deliverables.
* Financial control/budgeting and consolidation, personnel processes, audit/compliance, and coordination of certain projects, service quality, process improvement, business continuity, or communication.
* Assist in planning and execution of program meeting routines/events including proactive agenda management, meeting logistics, audience selection and validation, document preparation/delivery and meeting summaries.
* Responsible for analyzing information, risks, and issues, ensuring that mitigation plans are executed against or escalated as needed and escalate obstacles to solution plans, business goals or implementation.
* Cross-team involvement and leadership of Employee Engagement activities for Central Supervision, Supervision & Controls and the Merrill Home Office teams.
Required Skills:
* Proven ability to work in a highly visible and evolving structure while effectively managing multiple competing needs, priorities and deadlines.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a history of impactful influencing in order to achieve risk, financial and operational goals.
* Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills- ability to build compelling business cases and presentations for senior leadership.
* Strong interpersonal skills and executive presence required to interact with a broad range of stakeholders and senior leaders.
* Must be able to effectively build organizational alignment around strategy and strategic change.
* Strong knowledge of the Wealth Management organization and a minimum of 5 years experience with creating senior executive messaging and presentations.
* Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills, and an ability to lead/facilitate discussions across various levels of stakeholders/support partners.

Pay Transparency details:
US - RI - Lincoln - 670 George Washington Hwy (RI1541) Pay range $110,000.00 - $165,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set. Discretionary incentive eligible. This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
