The People Impacts Team is the people strand of the Workplace Transformation Programme which is within People and Capability.
This role provides a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to broaden their experience and work in a strategic, complex and fast paced environment.. You will lead a high-performing team of HR professionals to deliver challenging outcomes through collaboration with others.
The People Impacts Team put people at the heart of everything we do & an important part of this role is collaborating with people affected by site closures.
Days go very fast & are varied dependant on where we are in the delivery process but always interesting and exciting. A recent example is managing the people impacts and supporting the movement of over 3,000 colleagues from 3 sites into one purpose- built site.
You will be working with a range of people making a difference to the colleagues affected by site closures & giving them a positive experience where they are fully supported.
Building strong relationships with our many stakeholders & understanding the broad range of impacts & developing & implementing people strategies is key to the success of the team.
Who are our stakeholders: There are a many stakeholders including business leaders, DTUS, PAM Assist, Regional Networks, Resourcing, HRBPs, Estates, Delivery, Communications and many more.
Successful candidates can expect to be involved in a range of the following:
Building and leveraging on positive relationships/engagement across People and Capability, Workplace Transformation Programme, Service Modernisation and Service Planning and Delivery.
Influencing and supporting strategy and policy development and reviews to ensure changes are future proofed and applied consistently across the Department.
Lead the People Strategy for site closures to move colleagues and their work to the consolidated site or to retrain and redeploy colleagues to another role in either an alternative DWP location or another Government Department.
Working flexibly, collaboratively and at pace across DWP, ensuring effective planning, execution of structural and cultural changes and the effective deployment of HR resource/expertise.
Using metrics and feedback to identify and address continuous improvement and lessons learned, to shape and influence the future of DWP Estates.
Ensure governance throughout implementation and delivery by providing assurance papers, regular updates and reports to Directors and Senior Leaders across People and Capability.
Lead a team in developing high quality programme plans and measure activity against these, manage performance and report progress to key stakeholders.
Influencing and impacting submissions to Senior Boards, helping to make informed decisions on the future Estates Strategy.
