Our team focus on key projects for our Global Marine and Navy business unit. By joining Johnson Controls you will be joining a global leader in engineering and integrated solutions.
You’ll work with innovative technology and solutions and how to plan and effectively manage projects that protect individuals and businesses. Mentored by experienced engineers, you'll gain real-world experience, with access to top training facilities.
An apprenticeship with us will see you building new skills, while applying your knowledge to real-world live projects. There will be plenty of opportunities to explore your potential and you’ll enjoy full support from the marine team. Our Nottingham production facility is responsible for producing large alarm and address systems used on ships and oil rigs worldwide. Throughout the apprenticeship, you'll become well-versed in all products and equipment related to our Global Marine and Navy department.
You'll learn assembly and wiring tasks on public address and alarm systems, gaining the knowledge to interpret complex wiring drawings and work independently.
Our project engineers will be there to discuss build requirements with you, ensuring you're always in the loop.
Training

GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 5) essential
Full Driving licence is desirable
They can adjust the apprenticeship to reflect what you already know.
You will be required to attend college regularly as well as making your way to our Nottingham site so although a driving licence isn’t required, you’ll need to be able to get to both sites.

After This Apprenticeship
Upon completion of this apprenticeship there are many internal opportunities within the company
Many of our previous apprentices have become lead engineers and take control of their own team and projects
