Project Manager

The Project Manager will be required to facilitate the transition into production of new or modified products and processes in response to internal or external Customer requirements, including the liaison with all stakeholders.
The responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):
* As the SME for Project Management within the RD&D Department, manage and coordinate multiple design and development projects in accordance with the NPP.
* To provide regular summary updates on project status and progress, including the RD&D Weekly Report.
* To facilitate the transition into production of new or modified products and processes in response to Customer requirements, including liaison with all stakeholders around the business to ensure the effective transition from development into volume manufacture.
* On key contracts, produce and maintain project documentation. For example, Project Management Plan (PMP), Risk Register, Hazard Log.
* To represent CCM, and interface with external customer representatives at a senior level, by attending project status meetings as the project coordinator lead.
* To travel as required to attend external meetings, workshops and seminars, in the UK and abroad.
* Support the preparation of proposals for product design and development including Project Plans, resource scheduling and costing.
* To ensure design and development activities are completed to agreed timescales and costs.
* To advise management of potential project slippage or budget/cost issues.
* To maintain a safe working environment.
* To supervise, manage and mentor other staff when assigned by management.
* To maintain a logbook of activity.
Project Manager Specification:
* Right to live and work in the UK, with ability to obtain SC level clearance
* Must have continually resided in the UK for a minimum of 5 years
* Must be a British Born Citizen
* Degree or equivalent in Project Management is preferred
* Previously worked as an Engineering SME at a senior level
* Experience in Project Management
* Knowledge of writing and collating project support documentation
This role will be worked over a 4.5 day week; Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 16:45 and Friday 08:00 – 12:30. Flexibility in this role is critical to the success of supporting the team.
