Part-time Accounts & Administration Assistant
Location: Central London
Salary: £18,000 per annum
Working hours: 8:30am – 5pm
Annual leave: 16 days per annum plus bank holidays
Pension: Auto-enrolment with employer contributions
The Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts & Administration Assistant to support our growing construction business. This role involves managing key administrative and finance-related tasks, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing the accounts inbox – downloading invoices and entering data into our Construction Manager software.
* Managing the orders inbox – processing orders and updating relevant records.
* Creating and maintaining accounts for suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
* Keeping our Construction Manager system accurate and up to date.
* Liaising with management for invoice approvals.
* Handling queries with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring timely resolution.
* Processing employee expense claims and assisting with accounts documentation.
* Supporting the accounts department with administrative tasks as required.
* Carrying out general office administration tasks when necessary.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will interact with suppliers, subcontractors, and management via telephone and email. Full training will be provided for our Construction Manager software, and you will take responsibility for accurate data entry and record-keeping.
Ideal skills and experience:
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
* Experience delivering excellent customer service in an operational setting.
* Strong diary management and organisational skills.
* A proactive and adaptable approach to work.
* Ability to prioritise and manage workload under pressure.
* A basic understanding of accounts, with a willingness to develop knowledge of financial processes within the construction industry.
* Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
