Job Description
We are seeking qualified SEN / SEND Tutors to provide high-quality education and support to young people with Special Education Needs and Disabilities, Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties, or other Additional Educational Needs in Lancashire.
Our mission is to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK. We focus on transforming the quality of education provided to young people with SEN / SEND, as well as other needs, through our team of experienced tutors and support specialists.
We are looking for passionate and dedicated SEN / SEND tutors who can work with children and young people in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner to improve their engagement and educational outcomes.
As an SEN / SEND Tutor with us, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of learners, including those with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and other Additional Educational Needs. You will be supported by our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists and have access to extensive CPD and upskilling opportunities.

The SEN / SEND Tutor Role
* This role involves providing Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Young people may require some level of support in their educational and social-emotional journey
* You will provide this support via flexible and holistic trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN / SEND Tutor Tasks and Responsibilities
* Planning each session of teaching / tutoring / mentoring
* Providing engaging sessions that meet individual needs and advance educational and social-emotional journeys
* Completing lesson reports and providing feedback on progress
SEN / SEND Tutor Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status / QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and / or other Additional Educational Needs
* Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS clearance (we can assist with obtaining this if needed)
* Two professional references
* Right to work in the UK, even for remote / online assignments

* This position requires you to promote the health, safety, and wellbeing of children and young people at all times and follow safeguarding policies and procedures.
* You will engage with us as a Worker, providing short-term engagements as they arise
* You will work through a contract for service and be paid via PAYE
