We have an exciting opportunity for a FEMALE ONLY Part-time Team Leader to join us in Highworth to provide leadership and direction to a team supporting two young women to live life to the full.
The two young women have a range of health and support needs, as they enjoy a variety of social activities. This support is delivered on a variety of 1:1/2:1 basis. We are seeking an experienced passionate Team Leader to join its team of dedicated managers, as we move forward to achieve our goal of developing a comprehensive care and support service, whose ethos and values place the individual at the centre of everything we do.
This post fulfils the requirements of a Genuine Occupational Qualification and is therefore exempt under the Equality and Diversity Act 2010.
Applicants should be able to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, and should be enthusiastic about supporting our individuals in a person-centred way. The hours are based on the needs of the service. Office hours are worked 08:30 – 16:00, with direct support shifts being delivered 07:30 - 20:30 or 10:00 – 17:00.
Responsibilities
* To undertake and be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Support Staff working in Cherry Orchard.
* To support the Registered Services Manager in the delivery of high-quality care and support based upon the individual personalised support plans, promoting independence, choice and enhancing inclusion in the community.
* To lead and direct the staff team to support individuals with complex communication needs and a range of physical and learning difficulties, promoting positive communication to enable the individual to achieve their hopes, goals and aspirations, maximising the individual’s quality of life and minimising their behaviours of concern.
* To support the emotional, spiritual, physical, medical well-being and the material needs of the individual within their own home.
* Direct and oversee the effective management responsibility for Senior Support Workers, Night Staff, and Support Staff.
Experience
* A minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in a management care-related role is essential.
* Level 3 in Health and Social Care Management.
* Knowledge of supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and behaviours of concern is advantageous.
* Understanding of confidentiality and data protection guidelines.
* Ability to work well within a team and independently.
