HMP Full Sutton is a Category A men’s prison near Pocklington, a half-hour drive from York city centre. The prison is purpose-built and has the capacity to hold 560 men in conditions of high security. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the team and work in a varied environment, gaining experience across primary care, including emergency response, working on the wings, clinics, health promotion, and more No two days are the same in this challenging, yet rewarding and supportive environment. Hours: This is a bank role offering flexible hours to cover additional needs such as sickness and annual leave. Salary: This position is offered on a bank basis at an hourly rate of £15.84. What you'll be doing As our new Bank Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include: Ensure continuity of care for all patients, delivering outstanding care at all times Work across all areas of care, including inpatients, clinics, primary care, health promotion, and bloods Respond to emergency situations as needed Work holistically with patients and other healthcare staff, including nurses, nursing associates, and pharmacy Deliver personalised, non-judgmental care, based on patient feedback Contribute to, and implement care packages, assist with health promotion, wellbeing, and clinics If you are interested in career development, we offer a wide range of opportunities to develop your skills and experience, including both internal and external options for development and learning.
