Description Have you experience of planning and delivering communications packages, engaging with multiple stakeholders and have subject matter expertise across a range of Diversity and Inclusion (DI) topics? As Diversity and Inclusion Manager, you will contribute to building an inclusive culture by providing subject matter expertise and communications and stakeholder management advice to a range of SG senior leaders. You will support the delivery of the Diversity and Inclusion Strategy by building individual, team and diversity staff network capability, by developing and delivering the Diversity Inclusion Curriculum and the Network Support Framework. Responsibilities Develop and implement a communications plan to support the implementation of the DI Strategy and Action Plan and to build the DI reputation (both internally and externally) as a professional, supportive and knowledgeable team. Communications planning and delivery around DI policy that is tailored to particular audiences to ensure sustained awareness and understanding of the issues. Plan and deliver an annual DI calendar of events with supporting comms and support to senior leaders to participate. Build diversity network strategic capability, by developing and delivering the network support framework and designing and implementing a network engagement framework. Provide communication advice and support for the Executive Team Allies, SCS Diversity Champions and People Director, developing and approving lines to take for media and parliamentary queries, providing briefings and coordinating responses to ministerial correspondence and Freedom of Information requests. Build capability of SCS Diversity Champions, designing a Champion network group and providing SME advice and support. Co-produce and deliver learning solutions as part of commitments in our Diversity and Inclusion Strategy to expand the Diversity and Inclusion Curriculum. Provide subject matter expertise across a range of protected characteristics with data led advice. Advocate continuous learning and professional development across the team. Demonstrate the value of measuring outcomes and evaluating processes and practice to improve the team’s performance. Line management responsibilities for Mainstreaming Equalities and Inclusion Lead, and two Diversity and Inclusion Curriculum Senior Officers. Responsibilities Qualifications CIPD qualification or willingness to work towards associate CIPD membership is essential. Success Profile Success profiles are specific to each job and they include the mix of skills, experience and behaviours candidates will be assessed on. Professional Skills: Specialist Knowledge: EDI - Building Capability: Able to educate, coach and skill up managers to create and manage inclusive teams and to effectively manage issues relating to diversity and inclusion at work. Specialist Knowledge: EDI - Meaningful EDI information : Understands the key DI issues facing the organisation. And is able to diagnose systemic bias and inequality in our processes, policies, culture, behaviours using data and qualitative information. Uses this to inform, support and evaluate change plans. Core Knowledge: Culture Behaviour: Diverse employee voices: Understands the tools and methods to give a diverse range of people the opportunity to be heard and designing communications for different purposes and audiences.
