Based at Fairmuir House, 365 Clepington Road, you will work full time, 37 hours per week, plus 1.75 hours contractual overtime., You will ensure the efficient and effective progression of all electrical works relative to Contracts, ECM Contracts, Electrical Testing and Small Works, and ensuring a satisfactory completion in accordance with the Specification, Schedule of Quantities and to the required standard of workmanship, BS7671 IET Wiring Regulations, and in accordance with Construction Services current registration to electrical installation certification organisation (NICEIC).
You will be an Electrician (FICA) and/or Approved Electrician (ACA or equal).
You will have Electrical Installations/IEE Wiring Regulations 18th Edition.
You will have City & Guilds Inspection & Testing 2391-52 or equal., You will have knowledge of multi trade works, working knowledge of Health and Safety at Work, good technical knowledge and experience of all domestic and commercial electrical installation and maintenance works.
You will have knowledge of Electricity at Work Regulations, BS7671, NICEIC Guidance material, other appropriate British Standards and Codes of Practice and Building Regulations.
A working knowledge of Health and Safety at Work, Fire Safety Awareness, experience of undertaking and recording Periodic Inspection and testing and in identifying and repairing faults are essential. You will have previous IT experience and working knowledge of office based software, along with the ability to read drawings and take off materials.
You will have the ability to sit and pass the NICEIC Test to become the Duty Controller for the Department
You will have flexibility with working times.
A full current driving licence is required.
