London | In-Person
About Studyo London:
Studyo London is a London-based creative content platform connecting multidisciplinary artists and shaping cultural narratives through movement, visual storytelling, performance, and editorial exploration. We collaborate across art, fashion, dance, writing, and photography to build a space for cultural dialogue and emerging voices.
The Role:
We’re looking for a Creative Director & Choreographer – Dance Coach with a strong foundation in movement direction, performance, and visual culture to join our founding team in London. This is an in-person role suited to someone who thrives in cross-disciplinary settings—bringing movement expertise into editorial productions, artist workshops, and cultural storytelling. You’ll lead on the creative vision of movement-based projects while nurturing both emerging talent and collaborative production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and choreograph movement-focused editorial content, including photo shoots, video work, interviews, and installations.
* Coach performers and models during shoots to express nuance through movement and gesture.
* Create original choreography and movement work for a variety of artistic and interdisciplinary projects.
* Co-direct and design visual storytelling environments with attention to body, styling, rhythm, and spatiality.
* Design and facilitate movement-based workshops, residencies, and small-scale public sessions.
* Collaborate with a range of creatives—photographers, writers, designers, and performers—on storytelling projects.
* Contribute to Studyo London’s public identity and creative community through physical presence, leadership, and programming.
What We're Looking For:
* A background in choreography, movement direction, or dance coaching—especially within visual or editorial contexts.
* Experience in creative direction, content production, or artist-led workshops.
* A strong visual and spatial sensibility with a focus on mood, styling, and atmosphere.
* Experience working across disciplines with a collaborative, artist-led mindset.
* A passion for inclusive storytelling, cultural expression, and the role of the body in contemporary art.
* Organised, proactive, and comfortable leading projects within a small, evolving team.
Salary:
£35,000–£40,000 per year, depending on experience.
