Brand and Community Manager - Role Profile
Meet OVUM
OVUM is a leading fertility health and wellness start-up, fast becoming the trusted reproductive health brand in the consumer space.
We launched in 2021 and are a fast-growing and highly ambitious new venture. One in five IVF clinics (and counting!) recommends our products, and we’ve also launched into Tesco and Sainsbury’s.
We have successfully raised our pre-seed round from high-profile investors in the US and UK. With an exciting NPD pipeline and new market opportunities, OVUM has a busy and exciting 2025 ahead as we further commercialise our products through e-commerce, retail, insurers, B2B providers, and IVF clinics.
We’re a B Corp that donates 20% of our profits to fertility awareness campaigns and funds independent research into the causes of infertility.
The Opportunity
We aim to 5x our revenues over the next 12 months, which means you’ll be part of a company on an exceptionally high growth trajectory.
The Brand and Community Manager will report to our Chief Marketing Officer and work closely with our CEO to ensure OVUM reaches its targets, which are in line with our Series A growth plans. You will also work with our Chief Medical Officer and other specialists on exciting projects aimed at improving fertility outcomes for those trying to bring a baby home.
Building the OVUM brand is undoubtedly one of the business's most essential functions, and we’re looking for someone with a genuine passion for this sector.
A focus on continuing to build trust, fostering engagement, and enhancing the brand’s emotional connection with our audience is fundamental. As our brand guardian, you’ll be responsible for building OVUM with our community at front of mind and ensuring that what sets us apart now is never lost as we continue to scale.
Initiative is vital in this role. Scale-up companies are a whirlwind, with every day bringing exciting new opportunities. If you’re not comfortable with the uncomfortable, then this isn’t the role for you.
The Role
We seek an exceptionally bright, creative and tenacious individual to work alongside our Chief Marketing Officer. The candidate should have +4 years of experience working in social media and/or content strategy (experience in women’s health care is preferable) and have demonstrated success in building and growing brands through social channels, partnerships and organic media.
This role is pivotal in shaping and executing the OVUM brand development strategy, driving customer engagement, and fostering growth. You will lead content creation, social media management, community building, and influencer partnerships while ensuring consistency in our brand tone, creative and ethos. Working closely with our CEO, you’ll also manage our customer advisory board, supporting our product and service development strategy.
You will have a deep understanding of social metrics and social media reporting tools and an analytical skill set for evaluating success and driving improvements. You must also be a self-starter and able to manage your own time and projects.
Exceptional organisational and communication skills are essential, as you’ll oversee all our content creation; a commitment to accuracy and impeccable attention to detail are key. This role is perfect for a proactive and creative individual who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and is passionate about building genuine connections with the fertility ecosystem.
You’ll have an entrepreneurial mindset and a growth-oriented attitude.
