Position: Principal Structural Engineer
Location: Oxford
Salary: £58k-£68k
Established and well-known leading property consultancy with over 300 staff throughout the UK are investing in their small in-house structural design team to grow and develop this division.
This is an exciting time for the business with big growth plans for this sector! A new highly regarded Senior Director of Engineering is already in place to steer this ship.
This position is for an experienced Principal Structural Engineer with strong steel and concrete design skills to join their Oxford team. It may also be possible to work from the London office some days if desired. The Oxford structural team currently has 5 structural engineers and technicians, with plans to grow this team to around 20 staff in the near future.
Your role will include hands-on design, running projects, preparing proposals, managing projects and design teams, and mentoring more junior staff.
Currently, projects are mainly buildings in the industrial and energy sectors, such as datacentres worth £400m and substations. As the division grows, more mainstream buildings will be included. You should possess strong steel and concrete design skills and ideally be Chartered or nearing this status. Excellent communication skills are essential.
