We are recruiting an Evening Hygiene Operative to facilitate the provision of excellence standards of hygiene throughout the factory environment both internally and externally to contribute to excellent product quality. The Hygiene Team play a vital role in our business ensuring food safety and maintaining a safe working environment.
Main duties and responsibilities of hygiene operative:
Knowledge and Experience:
* Follow Standard Operating Procedures for completion of hygiene tasks
* Deep cleaning after each shift or when required, especially after processing lamb / beef in production hall.
* Follow HACCP (hazard analysis and critical control points) protocols: ensure cleaning practices align with food safety regulations.
* Cleaning surfaces - thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting floors, ceilings, and machinery in the slaughter hall and boning hall areas after production.
* To be health and safety conscious, using the correct PPE to prepare chemicals and carry out your hygiene duties.
* Support the need for change and actively get involved in continually looking for ways to improve performance
* Comply with all company procedures and codes of practice to ensure a safe and hygienic workplace
* To clean, separate and dispose of waste according to company policy
* To carry out general and specific hygiene duties in accordance with the methods and safe systems of work detailed on the cleaning instruction cards at the specified frequency.
* Able to work in a small team or independently; you will follow a cleaning schedule for the production lines, equipment, internal and external areas throughout the premises.
Previous experience in the same or similar environment would be preferable however full training will be provided.
Food safety level 2 qualification (preferable)
Skills:
COSHH Training - preferable

Hours of work:
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 16:30 / 17:00 start and approx. 12:30am finish
40 hours per week.
