The post-holder will work within the Targeted Team, within the child and adolescent mental health service providing high volume low intensity interventions. The role is hybrid, meaning clinical work can take place in schools, the clinic base and on occasions, remotely. The role will involve offering a range of low intensity cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) based treatments, along with offering assisted self-management interventions to young people with mild to moderate anxiety and depression. The post-holder will also offer parent-led pieces of work, focusing on addressing challenging behaviour and child anxiety. The role will be focused on working with children, families, and the education setting. The post-holder will have opportunities to develop skills in working with schools and delivering on the whole community approach. The role is pivotal to enhancing accessibility to CAMHS by delivering low-intensity psychological interventions for mild to moderate low mood and anxiety disorders.
