Brief:
Are you an experienced Delivery Manager looking for your next challenge? We have an opportunity for you working on one of the largest rail infrastructure projects in the UK, HS2, managing the mechanical and electrical aspects of the project and leading a team of MEP Engineers on individual assets.
The Role:
You'll be working on HS2 across the S1 & S2 Assets, from Euston to Old Oak Common, in the North Acton Area.
You will be responsible for managing the M&E projects from conception design to construction phase and handover, ensuring all requirements are met with subcontractors and that any issues are flagged and resolved.
You will report to the Package Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Acting as Delivery Manager across HS2 Assets for M&E fit-out work across tunnels
2. Presenting work in a client-facing environment and engaging with subcontractors
3. Managing a team of MEP Engineers and suppliers
4. Working with subcontractors and the Package Manager to determine schedule rates for work activities and milestones to support project schedule
5. Preparation of Project Changes and Budget allocations
About You:
1. Experience as a Delivery Manager of Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health systems (MEP) during construction, testing, commissioning, and handover stages
2. Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related subject
3. Experience of Early Contractor Involvement models and NEC forms of contract
4. Experience of running a project from design to handover
5. Background knowledge of Rail projects (preferred)
6. Background in engineering prior to planning (preferred)
Interview Process:
This will be a one or two-stage process, starting with an initial Teams call followed by a face-to-face meeting. Alternatively, it may be a direct face-to-face meeting with interviews lasting approximately 90 minutes.
