Role Overview
We are seeking a talentedPodcast Audio and Video Producer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a creative professional with a passion for storytelling, technical expertise in audio and video production, and a deep understanding of the issues affecting Jewish communities in the UK and abroad. You will be responsible for producing, editing, and publishing engaging podcast and video content that resonates with our audience.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, produce, and edit high-quality podcast and video content, ensuring professional audio and visual standards.
* Work closely with journalists, editors, and external contributors to create compelling storytelling experiences.
* Manage all aspects of podcast production, including scripting, recording, mixing, and post-production editing.
* Handle video production tasks, including filming, editing, and optimising content for social media and digital platforms.
* Work with the social media editor on distribution and promotion of podcast and video content across various platforms, including Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, and the JC website.
* Stay up to date with trends in podcasting and digital media to enhance audience engagement and reach.
* Maintain and manage recording equipment and software, ensuring the highest production quality.
* Collaborate with marketing and editorial teams to align content with the JC’s overall strategy.
Requirements
* Proven experience in podcast production, including audio recording, editing, and publishing.
* Strong video production and editing skills, with proficiency in software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Audition, or similar.
* Knowledge of audio mixing, mastering, and sound design techniques.
* Familiarity with hosting and distribution platforms such as Anchor, Acast, YouTube, and social media video formats.
* Excellent storytelling abilities and a keen editorial sense.
* A strong understanding of issues relevant to Jewish communities in the UK and internationally.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects with tight deadlines.
* Experience with live-streaming setups and multi-camera recording is a plus.
