You will be one of the first people a patient will have contact with in our department. Your role will be to ensure we efficiently book appointments for our patients and handle any queries they may have.
The post holder will primarily provide administrative and clerical support to the Radiology Department, which includes direct patient interaction. Responsibilities also involve data entry into EPIC and ICE computer systems.

Some of the core requirements for the role include:
• To work within the Radiology Department, undertaking reception and clerical duties, and scheduling appointments in accordance with the needs of the Radiology Directorate.
• To process incoming referrals and book patient appointments based on clinical priority, adhering to the Radiology Department's protocol.
• To assist Radiographers, Sonographers, and Nursing staff in ensuring the smooth operation of the department. This includes greeting patients, verifying demographics, examination details, referrer and GP information, and ensuring accurate documentation of patient records.
• Making appointments for patients for general and specialized x-ray examinations, General and Gynae Ultrasound examinations, CT and Interventional examinations in the Radiology Department. Checking patients on EPIC system and updating/amending details as necessary. Working on ICE checking bloods. Liaising with the nursing staff and Consultant Radiologists when necessary.
• Explaining appropriate instructions regarding preparation before ultrasound or special examinations.
• This is a patient-focused, service-oriented, and varied role.
