We'd like you to join us as a Nurse Associate at our Hothfield Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre in Kent.
At Hothfield Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Centre we look after adults with a brain injury or other neurological condition. We’re committed to helping every person we support feel safe, happy, empowered enabling them to live the best life possible.
What you'll be working:
We're flexible, so you'll work a total 37.5 hours per week, on a rota basis.
What you'll be doing:
Nurse Associates deliver effective, safe, and responsive nursing care in a wide range of health and care settings. They work independently and collaboratively under the leadership and direction of a Registered Nurse, within defined parameters, to deliver care in line with the agreed plan.
Key responsibilities include:
* Undertaking and monitoring patient care activities under the indirect supervision of a registered practitioner.
* Taking appropriate action as needed.
* Contributing to assessments within agreed parameters, while more senior Registered Professionals remain the primary assessors and prescribers of care.
* Manage a defined caseload/workload using evidence-based, client-centred principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions, contributing to service provision.
* Work under the indirect supervision of a Registered Practitioner, developing and undertaking a range of delegated tasks independently.
* Take responsibility for planned/defined tasks as required.
* Undertake clinical tasks guided by standard operating procedures and protocols.
* Delegate work to support worker staff as required.
* Supervise and line manage Band 2/3 staff, overseeing the routine work of others.
* Take responsibility for training others and may be required to deliver training
* Assess, plan, treat, and evaluate a caseload/workload, including groups of patients, under appropriate delegation from a registered practitioner and in close liaison with patients/carers.
* Provide compassionate, holistic, evidence-based practice during assessment, admission, treatment, and discharge, in line with national and organisational policies/procedures and individual care plans.
* Continuously monitor the condition and health needs of people within their care in partnership with patients, families, and the Multidisciplinary Team.
* Demonstrate a working knowledge and understanding of conditions relevant to the clinical area.
What you'll have:
* Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register
* Nursing Associate foundation degree qualification
* A Legal right to work in the U.K.
* Experience of Tracheostomy care advantageous
* Experience of working within a neurorehabilitation setting advantageous
