A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Footwear Product Developer to work with a reputable global brand. This is a great opportunity for someone who has been working within footwear for 2 years and is looking to progress in their career. This role is based in Central London.
Main Responsibilities Will Include:
1. Reporting to the Senior Footwear Product Developer.
2. Support the Design Team to develop styles across seasonal collections.
3. Maintain and update product critical path from proto sample through to salesman samples/Gold Seal.
4. Ensure key timelines are adhered to during pre-production.
5. Creation and maintenance of all seasonal, SMU, and collaboration products.
6. Manage and organise footwear samples and maintain a clear sample system.
7. Manage all post/sampling/trims/colour development and deliveries from suppliers.
8. Day to day liaison with factories.
9. Summarise critical path movements and outstanding tasks to all teams on a weekly basis.
10. Work with the design team to engineer products to meet margin targets.
11. Support the design team in developing products for testing to relevant standards.
12. Identify and communicate any risks/challenges identified at all stages.
13. Assist and support the team with day-to-day duties.
14. Liaise with marketing, sales, customer service, and operation teams for product queries.
15. Travel to suppliers' locations as and when required.
Person Specifications:
1. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a reputable company.
2. A natural ability to multi-task with strict adherence to deadlines.
3. Ability to work to tight deadlines.
4. Strong detail orientation with excellent time management.
5. Proficient in Excel and Microsoft programs.
6. Outstanding communication and follow-up skills.
7. Eagerness and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
8. Driven by teamwork and collaborative innovation.
9. Self-starter, solution-oriented, and able to manage own workload.
