Position: Quality and Production Assistant
Salary: 25,000
Location: Milton Keynes
Proactive currently have an exciting opportunity for a Quality and Production Assistant to begin work for a leading manufacturer based in Milton Keynes.
Due to rapid company expansion and an ever-growing order book, our client is hoping to recruit at least one additional Quality and Production Assistant to help ensure the quality and accuracy of the factory's function is well maintained throughout this new and exciting influx of work.
Overview:
This role will expose the ideal candidate to quality, production, stores, and engineering departments.
Responsibilities:
1. Transferring files to their document management system
2. Process reviews and audits
3. Compliance checking
4. Supplier reviews and audits
5. General quality investigations
6. Investigating non-conformances and returns
7. Raising concessions
8. Monitoring and recording KPI data
9. Managing and updating tasks on their project management software
10. Recording quality data and analysing it to create reports
11. Health and safety activities
12. Continual improvement tasks
13. Authoring procedures and technical documents
14. Development of production build guides
15. BoM reviews
16. Compiling evidence packs
17. Monitoring COSHH requirements
18. Goods-in quality inspections
For production, you will assist with:
1. Creation of build guides
2. Quality investigations
3. Maintaining cleanliness and foreign object control processes
4. Monitoring adherence to process and capturing KPI data
5. Undertaking audits
6. Helping to improve and maintain standards
7. Developing workmanship standards document
8. Photographing equipment
9. Factory reconfiguration and maintenance
10. COSHH control
11. Tool management
12. Maintenance of KANBAN bins and systems
13. Carrying out stock checks and maintaining stock records
14. Identifying, archiving infrequently used tools and jigs
