We are currently recruiting for a well-established and respected Electronics manufacturer based around half an hour from York. The company has a turnover of £4M but with significant order wins that are about to increase. Therefore, the appointed Production Manager will need to make an immediate impact.
Your Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing manufacturing and production processes
2. Creating and executing daily, weekly, monthly and annual production schedules
3. Procuring factory production equipment and taking responsibility for its maintenance
4. Striving to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines
5. Implementing all the company’s procedures and policies
6. Communicating any problems or obstacles to senior management
7. Monitoring productivity rates, standards and quality control
8. Training and coaching Assemblers and other unskilled labour
9. Implementing safety, health, environment and quality requirements
10. Undertaking staff appraisals
11. Recruitment of production and warehouse staff
Your Skills and Experience:
1. Proven manufacturing Production Management experience encompassing electronics.
2. Proficient in Microsoft Excel to support work-in-progress and production schedules
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
4. Knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) systems
5. Coaching and Mentoring skills
6. Excellent organisational skills
7. Calm under pressure
