Monday - Friday: 8.30am - 5pm (flexible start/finish times)
JOB SUMMARY:
Under general direction, the Design Engineer is responsible applying knowledge and experience gained in multiple project, primarily focusing on equipment design and fabrication drawings, process engineering, including project support, start-up support; ensuring accuracy, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures. The candidate will be required to travel at short notice around the world and must be flexible to do so with a valid passport.
Please note that "heat exchange" experience is a must for this role.
Job Description: Design Engineer
Provide equipment and process design from concept through to start-up and operation on multiple projects by meeting project timelines, minimizing project costs, assuring proper equipment and process design and specifications of purchased components, generating, and checking equipment fabrication drawings, calculations and having thorough documentation; ensure accuracy, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures
Perform various engineering calculations and analyses related to process design and equipment sizing and selection.
Provide engineering support to customers, and to the Sales, R&D, and Aftermarket teams.
Review design and perform code calculation requirements for pressure vessels.
As required and as assigned, perform the roles, functions, and responsibilities for project manager.
Respond to requests and work integrally with internal and external customers to provide efficient designs to meet project requirements. Essential Skills: Design Engineer
Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
3-6+ years related experience (Level II)
Able to read, analyze, and interpret technical and commercial contracts.
Must be able to communicate in English fluently. Ability to communicate in a second language (European or Asian languages) preferred but not required.
Required knowledge in AutoCAD.
Strong Microsoft office skills.
Preferred knowledge in Autodesk Inventor, CAD Vault, ASME, COMPRESS, PED, ASPIN and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
Ability to travel on an as needed basis - domestically or internationally up to 15% of the time, in office and industrial plant environments.
Must be flexible to travel as and when required - this could be anywhere around the world.Proficient in the following skills:
Project Scheduling, tracking and reporting
Piping & Instrumentation Diagram creation
Process Flow Diagram creation Pressure vessel design
Equipment design
