Job Description Parts Advisor - Exeter Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 per annum Bonus Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 08:00 am - 18:00 pm Every third Saturday morning: 08:00 am - 12:00 pm Job Summary: As an HGV Parts Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our parts department. This position involves providing exceptional customer service, managing inventory, and facilitating the timely delivery of high-quality parts to our clients. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) parts, excellent communication skills, and a customer-focused mindset. Key Responsibilities: Customer Service: Assist customers in identifying and selecting the appropriate HGV parts. Provide accurate and detailed information regarding product specifications, availability, and pricing. Address customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner. Inventory Management: Maintain an organized and efficient parts inventory system. Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed to ensure adequate supply. Conduct regular stock checks and update records accordingly. Order Processing: Process customer orders promptly and accurately. Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of parts. Track order status and provide updates to customers as necessary. Technical Knowledge: Stay informed about the latest HGV parts and industry trends. Assist customers in troubleshooting and identifying the right parts for their specific needs. Bonus Programs: Work towards achieving set performance targets to qualify for bonus incentives. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of transactions, customer interactions, and inventory levels. Generate reports as required by management. Qualifications and Skills: Previous experience in a similar role within the automotive or HGV industry. Strong knowledge of HGV parts and their applications. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficient in using computerized inventory management systems.
