Job Title: SEN Mentor
Location: Wythenshawe, Manchester
Salary: £450- £475 per week

Reeson Education is collaborating with a dedicated Special Educational Needs setting in Wythenshawe, Manchester, to recruit a compassionate and proactive SEN Mentor. This role involves providing tailored support to students with diverse needs, including ASD, MLD, ADHD, SEMH, and other complex learning requirements. You will be working with pupils aged 11 to 16 years.
SEN Mentor Key Responsibilities:
* Student Support: Deliver individualised assistance to students, addressing both academic and emotional needs.
* Collaboration: Work closely with teachers and support staff to develop and implement effective strategies for student engagement and success.
* Mentoring: Conduct one-on-one and group mentoring sessions to enhance student resilience and learning outcomes.
* Behaviour Management: Implement positive behaviour strategies to promote a conducive learning environment.
* Progress Monitoring: Track and report on student progress, maintaining accurate records and communicating with relevant stakeholders.
SEN Mentor Qualifications and Experience:
* Previous experience in an educational or youth support setting is essential.
* Demonstrated ability to support students with diverse learning needs, including those with special educational needs.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
* Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to the dynamic needs of the school environment.
Desirable Attributes for the SEN Mentor:
* Formal qualifications in education, child development, or a related field.
* Experience with behaviour management and mentoring.
* Proficiency in utilizing educational technology and resources.
