Wendy's is growing in the UK and recruiting a strategic HR Business Partner / Recruiter to support all HR initiatives & programs including hiring, retaining, engaging, and developing Wendy’s restaurant teams. This is a hybrid, dynamic role that will support both HRBP and Recruitment functions, depending on business need. As an HRBP, you will partner with Operations leaders to identify needs and determine effective People strategies, processes, and programs to address them. As recruiter, you will drive full life cycle sourcing of top talent for Wendy’s restaurant management to include Shift Managers, Assistant General Managers and Restaurant General Managers. The ideal candidate will be comfortable being dynamic to flex their support with the needs and complexity of a growing business. Note: This is a hybrid role requiring up to 2 days on site (3 days remote/WFH) at various Wendy’s restaurant locations supporting HR operations including: restaurant openings, orientations, trainings, investigations, and implementation of HR initiatives. Restaurants are located in the surrounding areas of London and Liverpool/Manchester and the occasional overnight stay may be required. All business travel & expenses will be reimbursed. Key Responsibilities: Business Partner: Partner with Operations leaders to identify needs, analyze people metrics such as attrition & engagement, and make recommendations to support business objectives. Collaborates in the implementation of Human Resources tactics and programs for the UK business. Recruitment: Partner with business leaders in the design, development and execution of staffing strategies. This includes managing the full cycle recruitment process i.e. sourcing, screening, scheduling, ATS management, offer negotiation, and reference checks. Develop passive candidate pipelines through sourcing. Develop a strong talent pool to have available just in time. Talent Planning & Development: Facilitate Succession/Bench Planning discussions to identify future bench, gaps in talent base, and at risk performers. Collaborate with Operations leaders on employee development needs and assists leaders with development plans for key talent to improve readiness levels and further career progression. Positive Employee Relations: Consults with business leaders to foster and promote an inclusive work environment consistent with Wendy’s Values – Quality is our Recipe, Do the Right Thing, Treat People with Respect, Give Something Back, Profit Means Growth. Ensure compliance with Wendy’s Disciplinary, Grievance, and Capability procedures, Provide consult employee relations, employee conduct, and performance issues, including the application of company policies and employment laws. Solicit and listen to employees’ concerns, and takes an active role in resolving problems. Serves as an advocate for employees. Compensation & Benefits Administration: Administer UK statutory sick pay and LOA process. Partner with benefits on process improvements. Compliance : Maintain compliance with Wendy’s policies & procedures. Support employee record & payroll audits, right-to-work checks, and review record-keeping of sensitive employee documentation. Qualifications: Either degree in Human Resources / Human Resource Management or related field or CIPD Level 5 qualification 1-3 years in HR Business Partner experience Knowledge of and experience with Human Resources principles and practices including recruiting & sourcing, succession planning and employee development Understanding of legal principles including applicable labour laws Dynamic, fast paced individual with strong communication, organisational, planning, and analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to influence business partners. Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills. Ability to handle confidential information High degree of independence in completing work assignments and making decisions concerning various human resource activities. Ability to manage various activities from remote locations using software programs applicable to the functions of the position Experience in classroom training & facilitation and talent development activities. Experience in multi-location environments preferred
