Key Responsibilities:
Enquiry Management
* Handle the sales mailbox and incoming calls, filtering out distractions and keeping the team focused on high-value leads.
* Direct account-specific enquiries to the right departments.
* Review supplier referrals to keep our pipeline filled with the best opportunities.
Sales & Account Support
* Assist with quotes, samples, documents, and website introductions for unrepped accounts.
* Build relationships with developing accounts and support business development activities.
* Provide cover during team holidays, absences, and travel times.
Website & Customer Management
* Support website updates, including new ingredients and documentation uploads.
* Manage website account applications by vetting applicants, gathering company insights, and identifying potential leads.
Order & Sample Processing
* Process proforma invoices, manage sample inventory, and conduct annual stock takes.
* Fulfil pick and pack of samples as required.
Administrative Support
* Maintain project pipelines, records, supplier reports, and accurate ingredient listings on the website.
* Manage supplier reporting and track success stories for team insights.
Essential Skills & Qualities:
* Strong written and verbal skills to handle customer enquiries, build relationships, and convey information clearly and professionally.
* Highly organised and able to create and improve processes, assess priorities and work independently.
* Commercially minded and able to assess the relevance and value of enquiries, making decisions to maximise sales opportunities.
* Instincts for spotting growth potential and a keen interest in supporting sales and business development activities.
* Friendly and approachable with a natural ability to deliver a positive customer experience, ensuring each enquiry feels valued.
* Eager to grow in the role, take on new challenges, and build a well-rounded skill set with long-term career aspirations.
* Comfortable with managing digital tasks, proficient use of Microsoft Office, updating websites, and using CRM and inventory systems effectively.
