Our core business activities are teaching and learning, widening access to education, research and innovation and technology and knowledge transfer. - THE ROLE - The Culinary Training Officer (CTO) will be responsible for the training and assessment of students within the Academy kitchen and other production/function areas as required. When in service in the Academy, the CTO will manage and lead the students and technical staff/kitchen team in consistently delivering quality, variety of food and menus on offer to customers to the agreed standards. The post holder will contribute to outreach activities, the delivery of professional training courses and knowledge exchange activity as appropriate to the area. - ABOUT YOU - - Culinary Arts Degree or a relevant professional chef qualification with appropriate food production and kitchen/catering management skills gained in a similar environment, providing restaurant and food and beverage services on a similar scope and scale - Experience of the delivery of formal training and assessment in culinary arts/culinary arts management or a related area - Experience of high-end kitchen operations, including seasonal menu design, food planning and preparation, health and safety and security as well as tracking stock levels of food, supplies, equipment and forecasting needs Please find our employee benefits on our website.
