Senior Support Worker – Drake House Salary: £26,263 per annum (£13.65 per hour) overtime sleep in allowance £350 welcome bonus Closing date: 31st January 2025 Location: Drake House, Shilmoor Close, Newburn, NE15 8BT Hours: 37 hours per week over a 7-day rota Drake House is a purpose-built supported living complex, comprising of 15 self-contained apartments designed for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism, some of whom may also have mental health conditions, including those relating to alcohol and addiction. The role We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Support Worker to join us at Drake House. As a Senior Support Worker, this role will involve leading, supporting, and supervising the staff team. The successful candidate will: Have previous experience of supporting adults with mental health issues, learning disabilities, and/or autism. Have previous experience of working with substance misuse. Be committed to providing a high-quality service, focused on developing people’s social and practical living skills. Have previous experience of supervising a staff team. Have the ability to motivate staff. Possess excellent communication skills. Possess a Diploma level 3 in Health and Social Care or an equivalent qualification.
